The Arizona Site Steward Program Foundation is recruiting new Board members to help us move forward with the many initiatives tied to our 2021-2024 strategic plan. The Foundation intends to:
- Promote the monitoring and preservation of cultural resources in support of the Arizona Site Steward Program through education and the development of volunteer training and resources.

Support the administration of the Arizona Site Steward Program through structured volunteer efforts and collaboration.

Solicit funds to advance the Arizona Site Steward Program Strategic Plan through grant facilitation, K12 and public education, community outreach, corporate alliances, and cultural recognition.
We have several board director positions available:
Arizona Site Steward Representative
Arizona Regional Coordinator Representative
Arizona Land Manager Representative
Several At-Large positions - these positions do not have to be filled by Site Stewards, Land Managers or Regional Coordinators. At-Large board members will provide fundraising, social media, website management, community outreach skills, educator experience and/or Tribal representation.

We are looking for the following skill sets:
Fundraising – ability to develop and sustain an individual and corporate donor pool focused on education and preservation; grow sponsorship connections; assist with grant writing; familiar with donor development software
Social Media – a leader to organize a social media savvy group of volunteers who will create weekly website news items, Facebook, Twitter and Instagram posts, share appropriate posts from other organizations, monitor the web for illegal archaeological posts, assist with marketing, assist with fundraising initiatives
Website management – familiar with Wix.com website features such as page development, form creation, news item creation and contacts organization
Online Training Development – familiar with Zoom and Google meeting functionality, including recording. Comfortable with scheduling speakers and conducting online interactive discussions.
Community Outreach – an outgoing and personable individual comfortable with speaking to varied groups, hosting tables, etc.
Educators – teachers or informal educators who love to talk about preservation and archaeology
Native American Community Members – Tribal members who would like to support respectful conversations and interactions with Site Stewards and the public about their heritage.
This Board position is a two-year commitment. We are currently meeting monthly via Zoom, but will be meeting in-person, with phone-in capability, as pandemic restrictions allow.
