Academia-To-CRM Transition Team (ACtion) Program

Work with regional teams recruiting student archaeologists to Cultural Resource Management

  • Academics work with local CRM managers to introduce students to cultural resource management.

  • Instructors and managers develop curricula for the classroom and potential internships for prospective archaeologists.

  • Team members offer student organizations presentations workshops, and field trip opportunities.

  • Students work with team members to cultivate professional skills and networks.

The program provides academia with career-driven instruction and goals, graduates with promising careers, and the cultural resource community with capable, familiar archaeologists.

Mentorship Program

Mentors help upcoming archaeologists advance career goals, provide subsequent guidance and advice

  • Mentees develop and drive the goals of their programs.

  • Potential mentees are introduced to instructors and potential employees.

  • Mentor-Mentee relationships are built on mutual interests.

  • Mentors help prospective archaeologists improve leadership, organizational, networking, and communication skills.

Mentors are rewarded by sharing knowledge and skills, and watching mentees grow. Upcoming archaeologists gain first-hand knowledge and insight, leading to successful career.
