Physical Demands:
Position will require extensive physical exertion, such as walking up to 10 hours a day over steep, uneven, heavily wooded, rough terrain in outdoor heat /cold stress conditions and weather elements such as wind, snow or rain. Ability to carry up to 30 lbs. of equipment; ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.; potential contact with poisonous plants, insects and animals. Individual must be able to conduct these tasks while wearing the appropriate personal protective equipment.
Projects may include camping for 8-day sessions in forest settings. Interested applicants should be safety minded and be able to take direction from Field Directors.
Ideal applicants should be pursuing a bachelors degree or have received a degree in Anthropology/Archaeology or a closely related field. Previous experience in archaeological survey is preferred.
CPR and First Aid certification desired.
Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check.
