The Arizona Department of Emergency and Military Affairs (DEMA) consists of the Arizona National Guard (Air, Army, Joint Task Force), Emergency Management and Administrative Services division. We provide unique capabilities and services to the citizens of Arizona in three distinct roles: community, state and federal.

Pay Rate: $20.7883 - $37.2445 per hour (not eligible for overtime compensation)

Opening: 09/24/2021 - 10/01/2021

Responsibility:

  • Plan, develop, maintain, and implement all federal and state required management plans/agreement documents for the cultural resource program.
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state laws and regulations. Oversee application of federal historic preservation laws and standards, to include Section 106 and 110 of the NHPA, the Arizona Antiquity Act, and their integration with the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA).
  • Manage the overall CRP and project-specific budgets. Coordinate projects related to environmental compliance and resource management.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders; seek involvement with outside research/education programs; identify training opportunities; participate in regional, state and national committees and working groups.

Qualifications:

  • Desired qualifications include any combination of experience, education and training that meets the knowledge, skills, and abilities described. PhD in Anthropology/Archaeology: Southwestern U.S. Archaeology or related advanced degree or combination of degree /work exp.

Requirements:

  • Requires possession of and ability to retain a current valid state issued AZ driver's license. Employees who drive on state business are subject to driver's license record checks (see Arizona Administrative Code R2-10-207.12.). In State travel required. Requires the ability to achieve a favorable National Agency Check with Investigation for purpose of obtaining a Common Access Card (CAC).
