PaleoWest Archaeology is looking to immediately fill crew chief and crew positions for multiple projects based out of our Phoenix, Arizona office. Successful crew chief candidates must possess a Master’s degree in Anthropology, or have commensurate supervisory experience with Southwest archaeology. Crew members must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Anthropology or another applicable field and have experience conducting archaeological survey in the Southwest. Pay will be commensurate with the applicant’s experience. Camping may be required for certain projects; however, a generous per diem will be provided for camping projects. Successful candidates should be motivated, resourceful, dedicated, and organized, and able to walk several miles per day over uneven terrain. All candidates will work under the supervision of a Field Director or Project Director. Familiarity with GPS units and digital data collection are a plus but not required.
