Job Description

·          Have strong communication skills and the ability to work closely with clients, contractors, and fellow employees

·          Be able to work independently on one’s own initiative as well as a member of a diverse team

·          Perform cultural resource surveys, testing, monitoring, and data recovery investigations

·          Complete standard forms and maps (sites, features, etc.)

·          Participate in data analysis

·          Prepare or assist with preparation of technical reports

·          Make initial site evaluations and recommendations for significance, effect, and treatment

·          Conduct site file searches at federal, state, and private repositories

·          Ability to travel with overnight stays for extended periods

·          Ability to climb stairs without assistance

·          Ability to lift 30 pounds and carry a 30-pound backpack for at least 1 hour

·          Ability to sit and use a computer for extended periods on a daily basis

·          Basic knowledge of GIS software and GPS equipment is a plus

·          Ability to use computer hardware, software, and other related information technologies

Required Skills:

Minimum Requirements:

·          B.A. or B.S. degree in anthropology or related field and archaeological training

·          Minimum of 1 year relevant experience

·          Knowledge of Arizona prehistory, Section 106 compliance, NEPA, and state regulations regarding the management of cultural resources
